The client manufactures metal components for aerospace, medical and military customers to a few millionths of an inch tolerances. To an existing manufacturing plant a new 1,850 m2 (20,000 sq.ft.) addition was built to house some of the most precise equipment and approximately 900 m2 (10,000 sq.ft.) of the existing building was upgraded.

Of primary concern to the client was that the addition upgrade the overall appearance of the facility while not looking like an addition. This was accomplished by introducing a band of white textured block which separated the original brick building from the almost matching brick of the addition.

The second floor contained the corporate offices, engineering, secure storage and company cafeteria, all of which convey a contemporary corporate image.

Approximately 900 m2 (10,000 sq.ft.) of the existing building is also being upgraded.
